Its in Gloucestershire. I should have just a bit short of 300bhp and about 1040kgs in weight......better aerodynamics, rear wheel drive and about 360lbs of torque. 8) If you PM me your address I will sort you out some entry forms.....I assume you own some form of competition licence...or can get one before then?
By the way.....overtaking Ferraris is not very impressive....when I see them at events they tend to be pottering along because they have careful middle aged owners who dont want to thrash or damage them!!

I wouldnt be too quick...Prescott isnt such a tight course and I will have better power to weight....but he will be nimble. He's got to show up first of course!!!

I've not bothered getting a racing licence due to i don't get the time to use one . We'll just go on a trackday , a quarter mile sprint and a side by side roll on acceleration test on the motorway . My Dini weighs 700 kilos and the new engine i'm fitting will be quite powerfull so watch out

 Can't you read then , track day , quarter mile and roll on acceleration test :D You set a lap time in your understeering and spinning backwards into hedges GTA and then i'll beat it with 1.4 litres and a carb

I live in Cumbria and dont really have time to waste on track days (I work most weekends), 1/4 miles test and acceleration runs, but I may be doing a pre season test day at Teesside in March if you travel. I have a full season of proper motorsport ahead of me where I put my car up against all sorts of machinery and mostly win! 8)
By the way you'll find my GTA handles very neutrally......I wouldnt have won so many events if it didnt.
Isnt there a Gordini forum somewhere that you can go and talk about Gordinis on???

GTA versus Dini

Postby Tony Smith » Thu Jan 18, 2007 7:49 pm

I've been in Gary's red dini when it had less power than it will be running now. It is phenomenally quick in a straight line - yes probably quicker than a 300bhp GTA in some speed ranges but not off the line and not round corners. They don't understeer though - but they do liftoff oversteer in a big way!
Alpines - GTA 3.0 Turbo, GTA 3.0 Inj (Project DD), GTA 6.2 V8 (500 bhp) , R32 Skyline GTR, BMW Alpina B10 635 Highline, Alpina B10 E39 5 Series, Jaguar 4.2 XKR, Laguna 205GT, BMW 120d.

If mine handles the way you're saying it should then I'm really looking forwards to it. Might have to see how it compares to our mildly modified 19 16v as well although I'm not planning on making the Dini run +200bhp :D

In think you'll find that 95% of the people on here have GTAs including all the officials and most of the regular posters. The rest have A610s or A310s....but they are a minority. Which Alpine have you got???!!! How many tuned GTAs have you been in? How do you know theyre not fast compared to a modified Gordini?
I made a genuine offer for you to put your car where your mouth is....I'm even venturing 'dahn sarf' for an event so it would have been a good opportunity. As Lee pointed out....slagging off the car that is the reason for this site isnt doing you any favours!!!

ooooooh really  . Well you was the first too slagg off my cars handling so i just returned the compliment about yours  .I still don't reckon that a GTA will be faster than a 200+ bhp 700 kilo 5 dini at anything except 1st gear traction . They may feel fast but they aren't all that really . Renault 21 turbos go and handle better and only cost £500

They handle great Mick , mine snapped the engine mounts off with the power twisting them , it still handled though with nothing holding in the engine except the front gearbox mount  !!!!! It would lift off oversteer into the corners but this was exaggerated by the lack of engine mounts somewhat  They'll make 250+ bhp with a modern gt28 blower , forged pistons and steel liners and a gt turbo carb fitted with an intercooler . My old engine was knackered and still really flew on only 15 psi of boost , it hit a 100 mph in a quarter of a mile from standstill without traction , i only pulled away with low rpm and still hit this speed . I' d like to see a GTA do that without a huge budget !!!!!!
