There are lots of claims (upto +3RON points) with these boosters but most make no real difference with Optimax or SUL but can make a very small difference to Normal UL (if you've had to use it). Most don’t actually alter the RON value but they alter the sound the engine makes when it has detonation. That way the ECU can’t “hear” the bad running and doesn’t reduce the timing, so you get a little more power.
