All looks very nice and clean, especially the gearbox. Has it been painted or is it like mine and had lots of lovely oil leaks to keep the casing in pristine condition!

Whose exhaust? Meca?

Standard refurb from our blokie. Bead blasted and painted, although there was a lot of oil around the back of this car. The exhaust was already on it, originally a Simon Autos one.

Did you know the Atmos have the EFI bellhousing? I was very surprised but it meant that my spare 25 turbo flywheel got used (after modding, of course Image ) And it's another outing for an Adaptronic, although almost certainly not adaptively because the exhaust has no lambda port, and there's no real point

Atmo has a TDC sensor as standard, just for the diagnostic socket. Did you get a chance to look at the flywheel to see where it picks up? Wondered if it might be any use for anything.

He means the normal TDC sensor slot. The turbo and atmo have the same part number for the bellhousing, the atmo just has a blanking plate bolted in where the sensor usually goes. The flywheel has indents around the outside edge and allows for timing checks on the diagnostic plug, don't know if the pulse is strong enough for triggering though..

The DeLorean has the same sensor and it reads holes drilled in the back of the ring gear and aren't located relative to anything. I can't see why it couldn't be used and looked into that at one point. Decided it was more effort considering that plate is an absolute sod to remove on the DeLorean because it bolts in from the engine side. On the Atmo, it bolts in from the gearbox side into a captive nut. Was pleasantly surprised to discover that!

:shock: Erm, you need to relocate the distributor cap and casing around to the front of the engine onto the left hand bank, otherwise when you try and refit the engine, it will hit the two steel water pipes. :shock:

As on this Safrane V6 swap into a GTA here...

Mecca and Simon share a lot of components and in the case of manifolds and exhaust they are one and the same. :D

nice looking lump, I also think it looks like a devil exhaust or at least a copy of one,

as for my opinion...... your garage looks a tad :lol: untidy :shock:

More of an issue on Tony's as the turbo manifold is in the way more so than the coolant pipes..

Bit of a pain in the ass as youve put it all together, as youv'e got to take of the exhaust, water pump, front pulley, rocker covers, timing chain cover, machine it out, fit the oil seal, all that b*ll*cks.... :oops:

The A310 has the TDC sensor fitted, threw mine in the bin :D
