I suppose the living room is out of bounds with dirty overalls on?

I'm selling ,I wouldn't give a s##t if it was nextdoor  He's a right little ##@@**er  Complains if I encroach half an inch in front of his house  on the public pavement or road

Got some new main bearings today from Renault and they dont fit!!! They are the correct size (circumference wise) but dont fit width wise. Is there more than one type???? My orignial ones have cut outs in them.....Ian at the dealer reckoned he had ordered the right type because they matched the liner seals (which fit).

All mains on all PRVs are the same. I'm very surprised.

When I built the TT DeLorean engine, Our Renault lot were very specific about the engine number before they'd order the shells, apparently there are variations, but it has nothing to do with the width. If you check out the manual, there are different numbers.

Something funny, I wonder if you got L7X shells ?

Found some bearing info ............in the PRV design literature
23.4 wide ,70 diameter nominal main journals
17.5 wide ,52.3 diameter nominal bigends
Though these will be for an early ATMO ....

That 19 mil wide lump in my sump is an unknown at this point ,it doesn't tally to anything found as yet .
The new journals I have measure 23.4 wide but are 72 diameter in the relaxed state ,would they squash up 2 mm when fitted ?They are not fully round on the bench .
The big ends are 16 mm wide and measure 61 when removed but do squash up to 60 in the ends .
