Understeer

peterg, how have you got your coilovers setup, I'm finding I have a lot of understeer when exiting corners in 2nd gear, no idea of road speed or engine speed, my eyes are glued on the little windy hill.

I have lowered the car by 3cm front , 3cm rear and have set the hardness to max minus 2 clicks all round.

With 17 rims all round and shod with Toyo proxies.

Thanks David, yes weell spotted, I'm confused about the cars handling too, but I've updated my post, it really is squelling understeer from the front and she just wants to go straight on.

Never a chance of any squelling on a wet track, YES this was in the dry (between rain storms).

count yourself lucky that its just understeer............

I run the rear of my car slightly higher than the front.....seems to do the job. It was very neutral...although I havent had the chance to push it since I added the newer heavy duty springs, but my intention is to back off the front damper setting to compensate. I should also add that my fronts are quite heavily towed in which helps.

Dunno if this applies to you guys but I assume you have unequal length wishbones front and rear, correct? If you lower the car, you've got to have the tracking done because you'll be toeing differently. We take the DeLoreans to Maidstone Sportscars and the difference when they come back is usually night and day. How it's done is so laughably simple - two pieces of string, two springs and a ruler, but you pay for the ability of the chap doing it.

What's the track meant ot be for the GTA? The Esprit is 1mm per wheel and we have had excellent results setting DeLoreans the same.
