UN1 gearbox conversion bell housing to AUDI V6

just thought i would throw this into the engine debate!

V6 AUDI twin turbo anyone?

I'm not too sure if a German motor will mate too well with a French cog box?

you sure could not build a renault PRV into this power for the money!

SR20DET would be another good cheap, and powerfull conversion, they just don't have much torque.

A friend of mine's has just made 480bhp at 1.6 bar...

EDIT : Its a 4 cyl 2.0 Nissan Turbo engine..

liking the 6 cylinder thing though.

already been done in a spider...... for Le Mans

I also know a guy who mated a 2 ltr toyota to a UN1 for a gasstrack buggy type car and that's pretty quick

still the way to go i think!

I have an 2.7 twin turbo S4 avant as my everyday car. Very good engine in my opinion, very little lag and nice and smooth. Standard 275 bhp with a lot of potential, but turbos can be a weak point on these engines, especially if pre 99.

There're a couple of Chevy conversions in DeLoreans. The general consensus is that the bellhousings are not very well made and they have trouble snapping input shafts because they're not perfectly aligned.

i would also say it has more to do with the torque of the yank lump

talk to gto kevin about the un1 weakness.........

I wouldnt buy bellhousing without getting it faced for parrallelism anyway.
