Turbocharger

I am reliably informed that the whistling noise from my turbo on acceleration means it is on its way out any one know differently, or of any adjustments that could be made.
If it is on its way are there any other turbos to fit from other renault or is it down to an exchange or upgrade

I presume you've done the obvious and checked for any split hoses or loose hose clips?

Could be, check the hoses for leaks first, and then remove the intake pipe to the turbo, check there are no parts of the compressor wheel missing, and give it a wiggle on the end of the shaft in and out and horizontally. There shouldnt be more than half a mm play really and none in and out.

If it does require upgrading/exhanging give me a shout as I have a couple of brand new units on special at the moment..
