A610 power steering pump

Mine is deader than dead, cannot be refurbished and local renault dealer is quoting for ever to get one as the were made by the now defuct Matra!

cannot see one listed on the Simons website anyone got one they are using as a door stop or any ideas? :lol:

The main thing may be to find what is wrong with your original pump. The are firms out there, like BBA-Reman that can rebuild and repair any power steering pumps, especially electric ones

The other option is to find out is another pump is possible. The picture on the left is a late Clio electric pump, and the illustration to the right is the 610 pump. You will notice that, apart from the filling resevoir(which unbolts and can be changed)..the rest of the motor assembly, hose ports and aluminium mounting block, even the two rivits on top of the motor cylinder, are nearly identical, so it could be the same pump assembly.

...but then again, if it is the same, the Late Clio pumps have a known fault of failing by going open circuit, nothing mechanical, and this could be the same fault with the 610.

the pump is totally knacked none can even rebuild it, will look at the clio option
