Radiator Fans

Postby BIG_MVS » Tue Aug 15, 2006 2:29 pm

Quick Query,

I am right in thinking that my non a/c V6 Turbo should only have 1 rad fan as standard then?

Also this is on the offside of the rad, there is a connector for a fan to be located on the nearside too for an additional fan?

When I turn the engine off, the rad fan switches off straight away as well, it should still be cooling the rad surely as it's stood until the temp has come down?

Any ideas?

If any one wants extra cooling, these 11 inch fans are biggest you will be able to install on a GTA. You can just install 1 as an auxillary to the original. Since adding a second fan myself, i've no fear of sitting in traffic, even on mega hot days the temps plumit as soon as the fans kick in. You should find that you already have a second wiring connection abailable. If you are happy with tie wraps, you should get away with out having to remove the rad to install it. Nice winter project.
