Bonkers turbo DeLorean

(use the links at the bottom right to look at other photos and footage if 1/4 mile runs).

I spoke to this guy when he was building the engine. He bought a set of Volvo B280E cams from me because (apparently) they're the highest lift production cam for the PRV. It's a T4 turbo running something like 20psi and he had his own forged pistons and rods made. The engine is the american spec Z7X - to them an Eagle Premier engine, note lack of balance shaft. The exhaust is something he's made up himself and he's running a megasquirt ECU.

He's made up the chargecooler himself obviously

Interesting that he is using a slightly raised top piston. I am currently building up a similar spec motor for my GTA, although I will use a ball bearing T3, not a T4, and will use a Motec to control the show.

I can't make out what time he ran over the quarter. What was his ET and speed.

Very tidy, looking at the way the car accelerates I'd guess he will be doing some suspension work soon. The trouble with cars is that something always needs doing.

Andy, some of us only need to understand on a "need to know" basis.
Sounds impressive though :!:
