If you can understand the Otto cycle.
Suck squeeze bang blow, or for the more informed induction compression ignition power exhaust.
You are half way and if you can read you are 75% trained.
You do not need a degree to become a mechanic. The basic cylinder engine has not changed in years nor has the brake system or suspension.

It's always comical introducing a Citroen to people who think they know it all...

(for those who don't know - all the big cits prior to the C5 have no brake master cylinder, and no springs or dampers...)
