Warning to all

Check the condition of your Coolant hoses that go to the oil cooler.(located underside near Rhs rear wheel)
Mine split Yesterday. The warning you get is the red caption however this is after your car has overheated plus temperature gauge.

My pipes looked fine externally, however if you remove squeeze and look internally you can see all the splits.
suggest if you have not changed these pipes you should soon.

One of mine split 2 years ago whilst I was loading it on a trailer to go racing...not amused.... but no big damage done thankfully!

Now that mo... f... of a oil cooler hose is the reason why i am doing the head gasket... mine broke doing hi speed on the freeway...

How about some nice shiny replacement Samco silicone items.

Are you talking about the hoses leading to the pipes or the pipes themselves or both ?

I've noticed both pipes connected to the oil cooler on my GTA are heavily corroded, however I understood that replacement parts were very expense.

DG advised having some copper pipes made up to suit.

I was talking about the rubber hoses.

That pipe's not an especially odd form is it get down the motor factors and get some nasty black stuff ............no one from Renault will see it

Mine went last year. Not sure if it is just the pipe on my car, but it had a spring inside it! Not too clever!

Is this thread all about the 2 pipes, item 20 and 22 on page 12.511 of the parts manual.

Surely, like lee suggests they could be replaced with a straight hose (silicone too) rather than these fancy double 90 degreee pipes, there might even be better flow to the cooler??
