Methanol, where to buy????

Does anyone know where to look to buy Methanol?Theres some guy on Ebay but its pick up only, Manchester Was just thinking what other uses it as apart from automotive? meaning what sort of outlets would sell it

try a company who supplies top fuel drag racers....... I'll ask a friend of mine..... he knows one, watch this space.

Your local model shop will be able to help. The glow plug engines used in model planes/ cars run 80% methanol (plus nitromethane and castor oil - essentially the same as funny fuel used in strip racing)

Either that or ask at the chemists. We used to buy big bottles of ethanol for cleaning tape drives at work without any problems so they might well have methanol in stock too. If they don't I'm sure they'd be able to point you in the right direction or source some.

they won't serve you just lke that off the shelf........... you can't even buy red deisel these days without giving them your life history

but they might be able to put you onto a distributer, if you have a good story to tell, like "drag racer"

Have located some, a mate of a mate is a top fueller ans has just purchased a large amount...... how much do you want?

Tried that one, he got back saying he couldnt ship, so collection only only wanting 5 ltr's

No idea where you go the shipping thing from on that ad....it clearly says pick up only!!!
