EU Compliance plate for Renault Spider

I am trying to import my Sport Spider into New Zealand but I need to know what the Eu compliance plates says on it.

It otherwise known as the EC whole vehicle compllinace plate and the UN/ECE compliance plate

The car is in the UK currently, I think the plate is behind the drivers seat, does anyone know what the plates says or can take a digital picture of it.

the manual MR319 SPIDER 0 on Page 02 has all the info you need,

but you'll need to translate it from French.

Also the official makers mark is "Renault Sport" not "Renault"

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately it doesn't show the info the beaurocrats are looking for here, so it looks like I'll need to continue my search.

The main thing they want is proof of compliance with a recognised frontal crash test. I seem to remember reading somewhere that the Spider was made heavier than otherwise would have been in order to get through the crash test regs, so hopefully it shouldn't be a problem.

what you need is.....a Certificate of Conformity.......for type approval. these have all info on them even down to the size and make of tyres on the car when new.

the only problem is they don't issue them with UK cars.

All Euro registered cars......sold on the continent come with them I will ask a friend of mine in france if he has one with his car, if n ot the germans will definately have one.

Great thanks for your help. I actually took delivery of my spider in France but don't remember seeing the certificate.

they didn't issue them with french Vehicles same as with UK ones also but this is what you are looking for it's2 pages

Dieppe will make one up for your car, but it costs 120 Euros

if you want to go ahead, I'm waiting for the contact details of the person you need to speak to at Alpine to get the ball rolling.

Ok thanks sounds like a way forward. I'm just going to show the sample form to the entry certification company here to see if it has the information required. I guess I will need to get the proper form in English too, or at least have a translation done.
