Tony, I have to ask How does the GTA compare with the R32, not so much on speed but as a driving machine, Be Honest

Its an interesting comparison actually and not as straight forward as most non-Alpine drivers would believe. People who have never been in a GTA look at me like I'm mad when I say I prefer driving the GTA! But on a winding twisty country road give me the Alp any day. The Skyline suspension is too hard for British roads - but show it a smooth A-road and its devastatingly quick. Being Japanese its got the GTA beat on reliability, build quality, ease of use and to be honest the engine and transmission are in a completely different league in terms of power and smoothness. But the GTA handles and rides better in my opinion and although I like the appearance of both the GTA is one of my favourite looking cars at any price. Will be interesting to see how they compare once my 3 litre lump is set up - the power to weight ratios should then be pretty similar (with the GTA having a sizeable torque advantage). If I had to keep one it would definitely be the GTA.

In reply to what else we drive, my daily driver is a Citroen Xsara Picasso HDi (but I get a brand new car every 3-6 mths, next one hopefully a C4 VTS HDi) I also own a XR2i stock hatch rally-crosser, a Pug 307 (for the missus), and a Ducati Monster. I'm also in the process of maybe getting an MG RV8 (crap at corners but sounds awesome!!)

If you're looking for members with interesting cars, talk to patfitz. He has a Jensen Interceptor (cool as f**k! ), and a few others!

my dad had a jenson interceptor s1 the 6.3 chrysler engine sounded awesome just a shame it weighed about 3 ton and used about a fiver just to start the thing

Can you imagine what the 4wd version was like??!!!

was jenson one of the first car manufactures to use 4wd on a sports/coupe?maybe jenson might have still been around today if it wasnt for delorean but then again maybe not
my dad also owned a jenson healey which he said was quite fun to drive and that also had an half decent engine in it( lotus 2.2 twin cam)

Sorry Liam, but I don't want a diesel. Commuting 110 miles per day, I like to arrive refreshed even after the M25. Nothing does it easier than an LS400.

Hi all, yeah the jensen is a great car but mine is a mk 3 with the 7.2 litre engine from the dodge charger so a trip like my recent one to Liam in belfast cost about 60 euro on petrol - but the drive was great

the gta is my only car so im having to blag lifts everywhere or borrow my dads astra as i dont really want to use the gta through winter

but i could do with a runabout(r5gtt,205gti)something to keep me happy in the mean time
