It does beg the question of how good Ferrari's safety features are - a crash like that and the airbags didn't even deploy! I'd be asking for my money back - if my head was still attached to the rest of my body that is.

How much of a GTA would you have to remove to get that engine in the back?

Also -I've seen slatted covers that can be used instead of the rear glass but has anybody gone further and designed a slatted rear deck - a la Ferrari, Lotus etc. The rear hatch could be done away with completely but the conversion would have to fill in the insides of the rear side glass panels. Good for cooling

Not sure how crappy it would look - just a thought that occured to me when looking at that sad bashed up beastie.

I guess the Ferrari driver just stepped out after that mis-hap.
The only panel left undamaged was the drivers door.
Perhaps for safety reasons, the rest of the car is only superficial.

The fact that the seats are still in one peice indicates it wasnt a mega crash.....the roof will be gone because they cut the driver out. The airbags sometimes dont go off if there is no proper frontal impact. Wouldnt fancy having been in it when it crashed though!!!

Cheap italian workmanship, the roof probable flew off when he was doing 190mph and thats why he crashed. :wink:
