The part number doesnt match any V6 Turbo items, it has an early case to it too, could be pre 85.

Part number is very close to Renault 25 listings..

Could it be something out of the Renault GM relationship in the USA, about that time I think, The Eagle???

John12345,

Below is the information I have so far, hopefully I'll have some more when this chap returns from his hols !

Hi Paul

I am trying to identify this part and have spoken to some colleagues in the Sales department who have been helpful: -

Firstly this ECU is a prototype part, it is also very old as Bendix appears on the cover of the ECU (Siemens took Bendix over 20 years ago). As the part is so old obviously we would no longer produce this exact part and Siemens would not be able to replace this sort of part directly to a customer, they have to go direct to their dealers.

I have however passed the photos on to a colleague in France but he is out on a business trip until Monday so I will probably not be able to get any further information until next week.

I hope this helps in the meantime.

Kind Regards

Nicky

Paul

If you do find any route to getting info on the ECU - it would be great to know anything about the protocol it uses to output diagnostic information. If we knew that then it should be possible to write some software to interpret it and provide a cheap means of fault diagnosis. Newer stuff all uses a common protocol but these boxes use some sort of proprietory protocol and I can't find any info on the internut.

Guys

Many thanks for your help so far - much appreciated!

Sems to be more tricky than I had expected.

Would the Prototype label suggest custom mapping or hardware?

Is the "Support Eprom" a standard option?

Thanks again
John
