Drive Belt Tensioner

Can anyone clear up what i should have as a drivebelt tesioner on my 610,there just seems to be two bent brackets and a bolt thats got a left handed thread at the end and the rest of its right handed(and its broken)

It dont look right to me :? has it been a bodge job by a pevious owner :?:

Don't know if the A610 is different, but it doesn't look like the adjuster on my GTA. Looks a bit similar but the GTA tensioner has a threaded block that the bolt screws in and out to adjust the tension.

Its two threaded blocks i've got but one is left hand thread and the other is right handed.Is this how it should be? :?

Thanks for the info,I've got the part no's now.....I'll phone Reno and see if they're still available.......cant understand how a belt tensioner got in such a state :?

Yes, it does have a left and right handed threads and so doubly quickly for small amounts of turn increment. Wouldn't David Gentleman have a reasonable second hand one laying around?

Maybe it will be a shock to us all and be at a reasonable price new from the dealer. Nah.

Only £50+VAT :shock: That was just for the 3 part tensioner,went on to spend another £150 on a badge copper washer drive belt 3 rubber seals and a switch.....its only money :lol:

It is much better to spend your money on cars rather than mundane things like washing machine repairs, clothes and christmas presents.

If you think of it as a drive belt problem it's less painfull .
PS .Never buy Indesit ,it's only cheap cause it's no bloody good ...........................................
