GTA on TV!

Postby stephendell » Sun Nov 20, 2005 7:45 pm

Dear Stephen,

Can you put the following info on the web site?

At last a bit of national publicity for the relatively unknown Renault Alpine GTA.

On January 10th 2006 at 20.30pm the 'Classic Car Club' programme on Sky 'Discovery Real Time' Channel will feature my GTA

The filming took place at Kemble Airfield, near Cirencester on September 1st and involved moving and static filming which took a couple of hours but I suppose will be edited down to a few minutes.

I was not asked for any information on the car or history of Alpine so have no idea what will be said or shown. But any publicity on national telly can't be bad!

The episode also includes the Porsche 911 so I don't know if they will compare the two.

The episode goes out at 20.30pm and again at 01.00am and is repeated on Saturday 14th January 2006 at 20.30pm and again at 03.30am.

Will forward you the programme schedules in due course

Many thanks
Martin

Don't forget, this is on tonight! :D Think the tv guide says the main feature is about the 911. The GTA just has a walk on part as a background extra by the sound of it. Still worth a watch though in case they show more of the GTA than expected.

For me that £40 a month Sky package is better looked at as £480 a year. Now that buys something seriously good.

As is usual for programmes of this type, their 'facts' seemed ill researched.

But still, it was good to see the GTA getting some air time and Martin's GTA looked great in the pictures and on the move! :D

A very good looking example - immaculate looking engine bay!

It would be good to see more of the Gta on tv. If we all wrote in to the programme editor asking to see more of it, it might force their hand. What do you think gents?

"You're not wrong ,50 channels of sh## ."

and I think most of the programmes are repeats or in a foreign language.
I can feel a spending spree coming on, and that will not be on QVC.
