Rear Lower Wishbones

Postby doylep » Thu Oct 07, 2021 7:21 am

Rebuilding rear GTA Turbo Assembly
As part of above considering replacing with new tubular variety
Questions as follows

1. What are options / supply of these currently (assume they made to order) ?
2. Advantages/disadvantages of old vs new?
3. Anyone have these for sale.. 2nd hand or new?

I thought about approaching engineering companies who do bespoke work to make copies.. Anyone done this?

Thanks
Peter

I'm sure that you have found these yourself. From memory they use to be 200 quid each, but that was a long time ago. The bushes to go in them can be quite expensive so make sure that they are included.
I think a few people have fitted them, but if your old ones are still in one piece, RATS/John Ashley cars in Rotherham have a fixture to refurbish them which might be cheaper.

Thanks for reply..
From options I see on this right now I think I'll try and salvage my originals and spend the money I would have spent on wishbones on new shocks and springs

... Can always circle back to these later..

Can do the tubular wishbones at a better price than Mecaparts but they are generally the cheapest for the bushes.
