Test day at Gurston Down

Postby mogster242 » Mon Jan 23, 2012 11:04 pm

This will be held on 1st April (not a joke) for BARC South West members only. Applications must be made by 17th Feb. As it is a popular event, the places are drawn by ballot on 27th Feb and there will be a reserve list.

The fee for the lucky ones is only £85 for single driver and £120 for 2 drivers and you will NOT be restricted in the number of runs you take and there will be timing... apparently in the past some drivers had up to 12 runs  amazing... and a good way to start the season...

if you are not a member you can enter the draw but must apply for membership and will be considered as long as you are member by the 1st April. it normally takes a few days to process the membership application, it is valid for 12 months and costs £50. so its still worth it....

for all applications contact Paul Webster on 01489571359 or gurstonhill@btinternet.com

i'm already in and fingers crossed

Had a great day yesterday at Gurston Down test day, we were very lucky to have a dry and sunny day. Thanks for the great company red21 & Jesus

I managed to get 4 runs in the morning where i improved each time :D . The 5 runs in the afternoon were not so great except for the last run which was my best time for the day. didnt manage to match my best time from last year which was a little disappointing  . I guess it was a driver issue as the car was running sweet (except for a sticky throttle cable) & the new clutch was great

It was a nice day,
I managed six runs but didn't do the last run of the day as the engine cut out on the return and developed a slight misfire at idle, but it ran find on way home?

Just got the entry list for the first meetin in a few weeks and it's going to be tough class.
