We've been fettling some of the small jobs before it goes to be fully mapped.

Had a small oil leak coming from the oil cooler takeoff plate. Turned out the fittings were sitting fractionally at the wrong angle to fully tighten down due the lack of space in that area. Went for banjo fittings to sort that out.

As space in the engine bay is at a premium we made a header tank to fit exactly with fittings in the correct orrientation. It fitted fine and works well but a sight glass was required so we added this one which seems to work well.

Have also been working on getting the rear wheels to sit in the arch how Dave wants. At the moment it is rather tucked in like this..

But we are aiming for this..

Also changing the top wishbones so we can dial out some of the excessive negative camber.

Just need to finish off the engine lid then this end is pretty much there.

Big MVS- I use Think Automotive in Twickenham for all my hoses and fittings. They are very knowledgeable and have pretty much most things in stock.

Water pump

The current dilemma we are facing is the safrane water pump is leaking, does anybody have any suggestions where we could acquire a new one, reconditioned one or where we could send this one.(apparently its obsolete)

The whole project appears to have ground to a halt over this.

Water pump options

You might consider an electric water pump.
These are very reliable.....
http://www.daviescraig.com.au/ and available in the uk with capacities up to 150litres/minute with variable speed controls. Even gives you a little more engine power!! Rgds. John.
