A610 in the Rat's nest

Not that I enjoy over-zealous MOT-ers but this passed an MOT without advisories 6 months ago which is mind boggling.

And, well, looks like it needs addressing a rather a lot before the next one in another 6 months!

Wiring works great because it has gotten used to it's foibles ....
Not unusual ,most looms are in a similar state .It's just that I can't be having to chase down dodgy wiring issues when bedding in a fresh build .
I will get Mark round and see what he thinks about the outrigger .It will have to be done when the car is mobile again ,to big a job for him to do it here easily .

He's getting some practice in of late ...Cedric's car is next on the list for the hot stick

Lee the TPS looks the same as Jason was like when we had a look at it at Macon...... He just ended up putting some insulation tape around it. I could not believe that my TPS looked absolutely brand new and it was the one that was F@~#d.

I think you want to fix it as they are £250 new

Gearbox drain plug refuses to budge Welded nut x 3 and also drilled to accept bolt then weld ...no joy .Only option is to dill and tap a smaller new plug in the old but I don't want to risk any swarf in the box so .....
Can fill it at least so just have to live with it Rob .God knows when the oil was last changed so at least we'll know the miles on the new stuff .
Back here now to be plonked on the subframe .

Front turret also needs attention and in a dangerous area so we have decided to hit all the rot in one go now .Will tow round to the welders as soon as Cedric's is off the ramp .
Refurbed front suspension can go on temporarily and I'll pop my ' for transit ' rear frame in so can get on and build up the real heart whilst it is away ..
Poking with a screwdriver to check soundness ......

The scottish Blue GTA I had and broke a while back was admitedly worse than that but the front turret came completly away when I put some force on it trying to get the lower arm off Well worth doing in my opinion...

Expanding foam mate works a treat!

I know it was money etc, but why oh why didn't Alpine galvanise the chassis on cars made of fibreglass when it was obvious they'd last this long! It really frustrates me.

Darren, when are we going to ser your red gta again? If you still need welding done looks like lees man is the guy to see. Be good to see it up and about again.

I've already had a chat with Lee about it. I'm just trying to find some free time and cash to get it done. If I could sell the old house it'd be a lot easier...... estate agent have 1mnth left, else it's going up for rental and I become a landlord

Walk into your estate agent with 500 notes in an envelope. Tell one of the guys it is all his when he finds a buyer who will exchange contracts. You will be amazed how hard the little guy will work on the phone when he can see a cash reward for just doing his day job.

You should have a lont of viewings very quickly and it could be £500 well spent.
