Blue GTA V6. Wokingham Berkshire.

My Son spotted this earlier.
Good lad, only 15, and has a keen eye for a GTA !.

I turned around so we could go back and take a picture.
Its a plain GTA V6. Looks like its been sat in that drive a while.

Located at Oxford Road, Wokingham, Berkshire.

Hmm, give it a couple of more years and nature will have claimed both it and the house!

One of the guys over on UK Saabs has spotted a Blue GTA in someones back garden.
Been there for a long time apparently.

By coincidence..my wife is canoeing on the river nene this weekend..I wonder if she'll spot it...

Looks more like an A610 in Peterborough...bigger bumpers, spoiler and the giant "a" as they rust well in the dry, that one could be "challenging" to get running, what a shame.

My wife went within 5 metres of this spot in a canoe earlier today but I don't think she spotted it...

OK as I was at a loose end, I took the dog out for a drive, and to see if I could find more about this car...
As for Dave's misses seeing it from the river... well there is no chance.. the nettles are up to the rear spoiler!

I did manage to speak with the guy next door, as the owner was in London.
It is not an A610, but a GTA. I also managed to zoom in with the cam, through the gate and got this...

If rust free, perfect for a Pug 605 3.0 24v upgrade.

Got to admit, I would love another. Should never of sold the Silver Dream Machine. Since the new owner wrote it off.

No one seems to know what happened to my car.





These pics were only 4yrs ago when I sold it, and its not been taxed in a while, so I guess ripped apart for spares.

That is really Sad.... I know how you feel.. we put so much love into these cars, and IF we have to sell them... it never truly is appreciated... much like the one Top Gear purchased, then Clarkson crash!! that was a true travesty!!

Fear not Paul! Thought you knew that your old Silver GTA now lives in Australia. Guy bought it from the TVR specialist near Newcastle and imported it to OZ(I supplied all the front end bits to get it straight again). The new Australian owner bought some bits from me a while back, must admit not heard anything since so it should be enjoying retirement in a nice sunny climate.

I have seen pictures going around of the one by the river before, guy won't sell at all apparently.

That one in the driveway looks alright, at least it's on a hard standing. Might be worth a note/knock at the door?

I am going to knock on the door of that Blue V6 in Wokingham, as I will be passing again this week.

I see it as a engine transplant project, since I wouldn't want the standard 2.7 V6 carb.
So either a 24v PRV, or look at other alternatives which would mate to a UN1.

If only I could get a Saab B234 in there. Yes its only a 4cyl. But 400bhp from a standard engine.
Would be mental in a GTA.

Good news she is still on the road. Although now on the other side of the world.
Still don't understand how the guy lost control of it. I never once lost it in the time I had it, and I drove it like a nutter most of the time.

The more I look at that blue one, the more I like that blue.
Lets hope the strut towers are not mothballed.
