Bruntingthorpe moved to 4th or 5th November

Postby stephendell » Mon Oct 11, 2010 2:40 pm

Due to lack of commitment the next proving day is provisionally moved to Thursday 4th or Friday 5th November.

Cost from £90 per vehicle (members for a full field of 10 cars) £50 payable in advance and balance on the day. This includes public liabilty insurance. One free spectator per participating vehicle.

Non participating vehicles (2 spectators) £10. Space is limited.

Strictly members only (except passengers). If your membership is overdue you'll need to pay. Non-members can join from £10

We normally invite a magazine so PLEASE WEAR YOUR CLUB CLOTHING Polo shirt or T shirt.

Please follow instructions on the day and take things seriously. We have not had any incidents before and we don't want to start now!

Marshalls will need to wear a hi-viz jacket. Minimum 2.

Don't forget your HELMET! If you have a spare please bring it as someone always forgets.

Racesuits and other safety clothing are not compulsory but if you have them you may wish to wear them.

Make sure you have a fire extinguisher with you, a first aid kit is also recommended.

No passengers for Vmax runs. Passengers acceptable pm for power runs and handling. There is no charge for a second driver though for Vmax.

We have timing gear and it is the same equipment that they use at the Silverstone race school.

You will need to know the weight of your vehicle for the power runs. If you don't know then we will use the factory figures.

*** DON'T FORGET YOU MUST HAVE A WORKING CIGARETTE LIGHTER SOCKET ***

..... change it before...... the last thing you want is a catastrophic failure, you never know what else it will kill at the same time.....

if it's stiff you risk stretching the cable and you know how much they are.....

3x the amount of a new clutch kit.... and it's a pig to change on a road car.... floor off.... it will take jonny boy a few hours to change your clutch..... do it...... as it will cost you a lot more if you carry on with it as it is

Stephen, I suggest this one gets put back to next year after the Winter?

Lots of good reasons, last one was cancelled through lack of support, so need something to spark peoples interest, and suggest the following would be good to see when they are ready:-

Tony Law should have his faster than faster car rebuilt, CLee's should be fully sorted and ready for battle, Dave Miles may have built an engine to shake the world, your porn-mobile should be ready, and I'll be able to get time off work to bring up something. Tony Smith's car will hopefully also be back to health too, and that would be the majority of the modified cars in the club I guess... do chip in others I have forgotten...

Put up a 1/4 mile leader board competition and a prize - 2 minutes free reign to grab what you can in a basket from RAOC HQ club vaults, fixed price 100 squid what ever you grab!

But knowing RAOC club vaults 2 minutes would be taken up running from one pile to another up and down a car park lol! So let's make it 3 minutes against the clock, and no prior hiding the best bits
... A diamond is only a piece of coal that did well under pressure... PRV afflicted, may be I need to squeeze harder!!!!
