RAOC Mini Tour of North Wales August 16th 2008

Just getting an idea of interest. Anyone up for a meet in August (16th/17th).

Plan is meet at say Llandudno on saturday morning. Drive down to Portmeirion (route to be supplied by local man Turbodog maybe have lunch along the way), then do an impression of the prisoner and have dinner?

Then drive home or maybe B&B it and make a weekend of it by doing what you want on the Sunday?

Any more ideas or interest?

Yes, I'd be up for it Martin. Either just for the day or B&B. Willing to do either. Whichever most people prefer.
I haven't got a Lotus though!

If the old girl makes it back from Le Mans in one piece and I manage to stop totty in hotpants from sitting on the front of it, may well try to join you for the weekend, wife permitting

i'll tag along if you don't mind - either in the Megane or evo, as its been awhile since we caught up!!

i know all the roads around there as you know as i've spent the last few years driving them! and RTOC did a run around those roads a few months back that i did and we took in some REAL roads LOL and i know a few of those lads (roger and sparkie) would be up for tagging along!

and i think mr small baldy man will be crashing at mine!!! as southend is a long way!

Yes you are welcome although it's not definate yet and could we keep it to Alpines/Renaults (don't want any japanese machinery embarrasing these old alps You still got a T2?)

Turbodog (Lives in Colwyn Bay) is sorting a route although any input on roads would be welcome , it's not going to be a fierce "juha kankkunen" type of drive just a fast road trip with a few interesting stops and food breaks along the way.

I'm just looking for a nice sedate 'sunday drive' myself with stops for tea and scones (or maybe an ice-cream if the weather's nice)
