Compared to what Lee? RTOC? Way oversold and far too many cars on track? this will be very different.... and its at Goodwood.

Definitely French... only able to have 1 passenger in the car (genaral entry ticket), shopping cart doesn't allow you to edit and add another, yet select the option again and tells you that you have that option in your cart already... mind you got no seats in the motor at the moment, so why should I worry!

Easy now ...not complaining, just expressing a view .. Mallory is a very different track and it was raining all day when you were there .....
I get 3x15 mins slots in a full afternoon session which I think is a bit tight but I have still paid and supported the event...... just giving a bit of feedback .
As I'm sure will be pointed out ...a GTA wont last more than that anyway

Just standing up for the event Lee, We really want you there! There are not many track events you can pay for on a per session basis like this so, the fact that you can here is a bonus. The only other regular track day that this can be done at is at Lydden Hill, a short 1 mile track with no real history and they will charge you £25 for a 15 minute session in summer (£20 in winter) and you will be out with every joe Bloggs in his £500 rust bucket trying to prove that induction kit he fitted has made his runabout into a race car. Given that then, at Goodwood, a track rich in history and a genuinely nice place to be, for only £5 more you will be out with limited numbers of cars that you know and love , driven by like minded enthuisiasts who just want a great day out among other owners. And thats before we get onto the display cars and,...( hang on... did you not say you were taking a trade stand?) trade stands etc.

I'm not knocking the event .I think it's a superb idea and well done to all those that have organised it .Don't get all 'CLUB' on my ass ,I just think the session allocation is a bit tight .
There are lots of track days that you can pay for on this basis Mark you just have to go further North than Watford gap .
I've signed up for it anyway so don't need the PR pitch

The main problem is the 10 car on track at any one time limit which means open pit can't work very well as the potential queue could be very long. Also you are limited with the number of track places to raise the revenue required for the circuit hire. Even at this price the track cars prices are susbsidised to some extent. Sessions seem to work well for the French track days. Would have been nice to have 20 min sessions but then we would already be over 50% sold.

Goodwood circuit is 2.4 miles. If you are on the pace you'll be looking at a 1.30 lap. Joe Bloggs 1.45 - 2.00 min lap worst case. So 7-10 laps per session which should be enough.

For comparison Brands Hatch Indy is exactly half the length at 1.2 miles with a 1.00 min lap being on the pace. This shows you how much faster a circuit Goodwood is! 100% longer but only 50% more time to get round if you are on the pace.
