Weekend Entry ticket including Paddock 50 euro (normally 79 euro) per person
Grandstand Access 20 euro extra per person
Laps 140 Euro per car
Weekend Camping 65 euro nasty 90 euro better per car/pitch

Camping is one place per car. There is no facility to share the cost unless you are just a passenger or do not have a car. You can share tnets but you will still have to pay for one place for each car.

So are we going for the 90 euro better quality camping then? Where would that likely be then, Jen wants to know if it is better than Blue Nord of 2010? Will we as a group be considering the 20 euro upgrade to the Grandstands like we had last time, this was a god send to be in the shade with 40°C heat, plus the air-conditioned ACS bar?

Maison Blanche at 90 euro hopefully.

Have had no feedback from anyone re grandstands. Most people blagged it last year I think once they were in the paddock. Any input?

Just checked the back of the 2010 passes they stated grandstand access. :)

Yes, I have added grandstand to all passes for 2012.

The camping options are:

Outside Circuit:

BLUE

Bleu Nord General Camping - £70 per pitch. ACO Price 80 euro.
Bleu Nord Private AMOC/Pistonheads Camping - £275 Small Pitch
Bleu Nord Private AMOC/Pistonheads Camping - £345 Standard Pitch

Maison Blanche has all been allocated by ACO to resellers. Not available with purchasing an admission ticket from same reseller.

YELLOW

Not worth considering. 65 euro per pitch.

Inside Circuit:

GREEN

Karting Nord General / Club Camping - £107 per pitch. This is a reseller mark up price but is the only way to get Karting Nord this year. Would have been 90 euros from ACO.

This is where many of the clubs are eg Cobra OC, Porsche OC. All arranged for them by re-sellers.

Please indicate your preference ASAP before we lose these options.

Karting Nord is probably the better option if you can stomach to re-seller mark up.

Bleu Nord was pretty grim last year as are most blue campsites outside the circuit.

Will go with majority choice.

I'll go for green then. I agree bleu nord was sh1t, but some how it added to the weekend. Rather not go there again though. Didn't some of the others say the Karting Nord camp site was okay?

Hi I need a spot for the car myself and the loverly wife.
We have accom and travel already booked along with car parking in the EXPO parking area. But all booked via me and not through any travel group.
We would for go our EXPO parking for the infield option.

Hi Folks

For those of you going to the Classic this year and still hasn’t got a tent and the other bits and bobs have a gander at this place “Go Outdoors”.

http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/

We bought ourselves a four person easy put up tent, for less than £100, well just, by a penny! This place seems to do a decent deal on all of the stuff they sell; we also bought a little 1 litre kettle, £4.99 and a tent essentials kit, £4.99.

Hi Guys

I have been checking out the new requirements for driving in France from this year. See the link below to the AA site with a useful chart to specify what we must carry in our cars.

http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/to ... ipment.pdf

But a brief summary is:
1 Hi Viz waistcoat
2 Breathalysers – must be NF approved x 2
3 Warning Triangle
4 Proof of vehicle insurance
5 Original Registration document
6 Radar detection for speed cameras is forbidden – any sat-nav with this facility must have it deactivated
On the spot fines by the French Rozzers if caught contravening any of the above

I have checked out eBay and the Breathalyser Kits can bought for about £5, the triangles £5 and Hi – viz for about £2.50.
