I understand that Simon has to finish no more than 4 places behind the current second place competitor on Saturday to win his class overall.

There are 4 RAOC members competing so please go along and give your support if you have nothing better to do tomorrow morning!

It was a shock for me to win that one too.
It is the "Nick Smith Rollock" Trophy. It's more of a "Cock-Up" trophy and I won it for having a big mouth at the wrong public moment, sorry can't say much else on air, but luckily that one goes back at the end of the year.

Peter, glad you are doing well, I think I confirmed my 2nd in Class overall today. The EVO IXs are just in a completely different league to my trusty GTA. We had a good time and the sun shone too.

Good luck for tomorrow against that OMS, you must be getting closer to him by now?

Till the next trophy...... next year. :D

Evos arent a level playing field!!! The production classes above 2 litre arent winnable in non Evo/Subaru 4wd turbo cars, unless youve got serious cash for a supercar. Ive beaten the OMS at the last 2 events.....but its all too late for this year now. Going out to beat my own best time in the morning......and praying for dry weather.....too many serious Scottish championship cars to expect FTD tomorrow:D

Thanks for the ticket Simon, enjoyed the day and a few seeds planted.....
never thought I would want a list but now find myself needing one just to remind me: Clio V6 230, 5 gt turbo, 5 Gordini turbo, Megane RS 300 Trophy.

Official Results:
For a first full season I have throughly enjoyed it and I'll be competing again next year. Overall I was 6th from 56 competitors and 2nd in class. Looking forward to the spring already, but there is plenty to do on the car first.

If anyone wants a go but doesn't want to use their road car then his may interest you : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Renault-21-Turbo- ... 81132410QQ

Although I suspect the lack of interior trim may put it in a more difficult class.

an Evo took over 3 seconds out of a Porshe GT3!!!

Can they split the class on age of vehicle or something?

Having said that Red 21 takes on the Skoobs and the Cosworths and holds his own on the hills?

I dont think Lydden particulary suits front wheel drive quite a slippery surface, I was constantly pushing wide with no amount of lift off oversteer available to help turn in! So as you say Peter 4WD all the way

It is fun though trying to better your own times, I am hoping to be 4 wheel drive next year and a lot more power......project Quadra evolves!! I just want to see how quick I can go against the modern Japmobiles.
