Wanted - early GTA Turbo bits & pieces

Hi all

Having gone over my recent acquisition, GTA Turbo C33WRK, I have to say that Paul maintained it in splendid condition, and it is extremely presentable to say the least

However, there is always a 'shopping' list - as a re-entrant to the world of GTAs, I would be very grateful if anyone can point me in the right direction for...(new, new old, off a scrapper)

1. Both rear light cluster outer perspex shells, or full units if they dont disassemble easily - I understand these are 'unobtainium', but there was talk of a remanufacture run ? Or are there any unmarked ones on scrappers ?

2. 'Renault' metal logo on front between headlights

3. Bottom RHS push button on OEM radio cassette - marked 'METAL' , I think

4. LHS air outlet tube in engine bay from turbo installation box (conduit for hot air exit when engine bay fans are on, cloth appearance, c.75mm dia) - OEM looks like a grubby 1950s Hoover attachment, but that's how they made 'em !

5. OEM wheel brace

Chris, when ever I see a GTA engine bay, that pipe/hose from the turbo to the fan is often a let down especially with a bog "blocking" kink in it.

You need the orange pipe as the black has a much lower temp spec.

Rear light covers...En France, Phil Tim on Forum Alpine Renault remanufactured some covers....but I think maybe all the last batch sold. Lee Metters on here bought some I recall...he'll be along soon and let you know.

Yes I have a set of the new lenses from Phil Tim.
They aren't fantastic quality...fit is Ok rather than excellent and they are distorted in a couple of places, but compared to broken lenses they look much better. I'll take a picture once I get the bosses holding the lamp units adjusted correctly so they sit square in the car. I depends on whether you are a concurs minded person or want a car with no obvious defects.
He also did a batch of rear centre grilles...but sadly I haven't been able to get him to respond about availability on those.

I have an early `86` car. the bottom R/H button is indeed for metal tape, but the button is plain - as per photo. sorry I don't have a spare one.

OK, thanks all for the useful advice & pointers. I would be very interested to see how the new rear lenses look in the flesh ! Perhaps I can spot the 'metal' radio cassette button on a S/H Philips unit of similar vintage, and as for the brace, surely ebay is the place to go.

I have one near perfect s/h rear lamp.

Not many people know this but the really early lamps are slightly different on the reverse side (but they fit all models). The later ones are modified / simplified in a couple of places. See if you notice where!
