Well, somebody's obviously interested according to the bidding history but consider this. Respray minimum of 3 1/2 grand to even have a chance of doing it properly but what lurks beneath under all that fresh underseal? On face value it might appear to be a bargain but I know what my car has cost over 2 years of ownership and it gives me anal palpitations but what the hell, it's only money

Not one that's known to the club no. If it stays cheap it's worth a punt with an MOT but if it gets higher probably worth an inspection.
