My 90 Blue D500's previous owner had replaced the expansion tank with a Volvo unit mounted on some ugly brackets.
His reasoning was the original tanks kept splitting.
I had similar pressure issues with my black car until I realised the problem was that the tank had been overfull, resulting in coolant spraying all over the underneath of the pressure cap causing the valve to stick.
I put a little pipe of pipe inside the inlet at the front which comes from the top of the hose connecting the water pump to the front pipes to push the flow (and any splash) away from the underneath of the cap, lowered the coolant level cold to about half an inch, and problem solved.
So I want to refit the original tank to my blue GTA, to keep it nice under the hood.
Problem is, I have a tank but no wire mounting bracket. I could make one, but the original item would be nicer.
Anybody got one they could sell me and post to New Zealand?

ps - Expect to get my Black car back from the painter doing the total respray in the next couple of weeks. He has been taking his time (about 9 months now), to make sure it is perfect. I took a peek last week and it is looking fantastic.\!
