My A310 is for sale......!!?

Postby shadmonk » Mon Feb 21, 2011 8:08 pm

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2532988.htm

well i reluctantly placed an ad. Im quite attached to this car as some of u will know
But I have too many cars..!
The Ginetta G4 restoration and racing costs are mounting up..

I will also be selling my 1970 pontiac firebird soon

-the price i think is reasonable considering the unique spec and condition of the car. Galvanised chassis also means no worries about chassis integrity on this car

any questions, just ask!

Good luck with the sale, what a lovely Alpine, like it in that colour too! Shame you have to sell it as she is such a rare beast. I think the price is reasonable to me, hope it does'nt end up in france and stays in the UK!!

Shaddy, you will 100% regret selling this car.
It is the best A310 I have ever seen.

Good luck, tell us when you are racing, would be good to come along and support.......

thanks.. Yeh im not sure how i will feel selling it
i went to a lot of trouble to get this car over from france and i do love 310's

heres a thread on the Ginetta G4 i bought - which is having major resto! It is the sister car to the one driven by Graham Hill in 1964 for Practical motorist mag..

the car wil hopefully be running in HSCC 60s roadsports. It has been won by a G4 for the last few years

had 2 enquiries from france, but a chap in UK (not a member of OC) contacted me and has bought the car
He had seen the car at a show and had wanted a 310 for a while....

And, i did get very close to the asking price, so thats some consolation for me

If any A310 in the UK could get that money, it would be yours!

Have you driven an A310 4-cylinder?

hi Andy

yeh im happy with the price, but still good value compared to a 70s 911. Its a shame the 310s and GTAs tend to be undervalued over here

i would think the 4 cyl cars would be quite nice to drive with their quick rack and lighter weight.. can imagine they may feel bit underpowered tho..?

Have you still got the yellow one Andy?

Myself and Mr Sasin still have A310 itches we would like to scratch although he has a preference for the 4 cyl 6 light variety.
