On the autotrader website at the moment.

Wish it was mine, but sadly it isn't!

I agree it does seem a bit steep, on the other hand maybe our cars are appreciating in value!

Its way over the top! You can get an A610 for that. Not seen a GTA at more than £8000 before.

Thats right really, you can pick alot of GTA's up for around £5-6000, but most of them still need a couple of grand spending on them to get them right, and thats not including getting the body perfect.

Hey chaps, don't knock the bloke too much, this is the "for sale" forum.
If he thinks it is worth 11k, then it's worth 11k to him.
If you don't think it's worth 11k, then you won't want it.
If some one else thinks it's worth 11k, then they will buy it and every one will be happy.

It would be great to think mine was worth that, I paid £12500 in 1990, even if it's only worth £5000 now, it's been cheap motoring.

She's not for sale anyway.

i see where youre coming from Simon, but it doesnt seem like a very realistic way to get a sale!!! My car is worth about 9k to me, cause its what Ive spent on the car and mods, but if I ever got into the position where I have to sell it I know that it wont be worth that much! (unless the values go up significantly)

You say that Peter, but if somebody offered you your car in the state it is in now, you'd buy it because thats what you like. There might be somebody out there just like you!

I bet there are many Alpine owners out there with cars in a sorry state, who are gradually improving them..who look at a mint example and just think..sod it!..ill get a loan!

Alpines are great value compared to Esprits, you cant pick up an average turbo E reg for any less then £9000, and I know if I had one, I could easily blow another £5000 doing it up!
