Hi Lee,

Hope you're pleased with it.

Send me the photos of the atmo & I'll place an ad for you. Also please send pics of D600 with the new wheels for the visitors section.

Guess you'll also have some brand new Koni's for sale!!

As the chavs say 'WELL COOL'!

If I thought I could raise the cash that it'll go for, I'd raise it.
I'd also have a chat with Paul Sage about it being 'works'.

yellow peril

Postby David Gentleman » Mon Jul 05, 2004 5:25 pm

You can tell its not original, and the text doesnt says its original, just two were ever made. Do you not think the heat from the turbo and exhaust would make a nice mess of the plastic windows!? Is cheap at £4500 if you could get it back to original. You can see the injection inlet manifold, so it is an authentic engine...

You say that the turbo would make a mess of the plastic windows, but they still exist so presumably it doesnt!!! Not sure about putting it back to original....fancy a soft top....its tempting....pass me the Old Peculiar!!! (my favourite beer...whoever brought that one up, and more than capable of making me bid on a car like this!!)

I still dont know about the windows, notice he hasnt got an engine cover over the rear deck as the proper 5's do. I reckon he only drives it with the roof down. Think of the noise and the heat behind you otherwise!

I'm not sure why anyone would want to drive it with the roof up!

Although there isn't a reserve, He can withdraw if the price isn't what he wants.

Still no bids....
(how much can I raise....... If I put the house extension on hold....will she kill me....)

My head hurts.

Firstly she will "threaten" to kill you, then we will just have to wait and see if you post any more messages !!!!

Why don't you just ask her what she thinks about it, unless that's a forgone conclusion? This will help you guage your life expectancy and prioritise your extension.

Good Luck.

PS: beer is very good for medicinal purposes and could help your hurting head.

I must admit, I regularly apply the same strategy as you Peter. She now just shrugs her shoulders and says 'at least I'm spending money on cars rather than other women'. :D
