Well more pics are up now...

It still looks ok to me, your all far too fussy  . Not all GTA's are going to be out of the box nowadays, it's 21 years old don't forget!! It's not worth £5750 though I agree.

The damage is all down the other side and is horrific. However it doesn't notice until you see the car.

Ask Tony Smith what message he sent to the seller!!

The latest nugget of wisdom for us all here..

''Many thanks for all the interest to the 170'ish people currently watching my item.

To answer a few questions - this car is not Concours, but is extremely useable/presentable for a 21 year old car - Concours is generally the £12,000 mark, this should in reality fetch around the £7,000 mark without too much trouble and an afternoon tlc.

I do have offers already 'tabled' so many thanks and they will be considered. ''

That'll make my A610 worth about £40,000 then.
It's almost an insult to say you can add a couple of grand to the value with an afternoon's tender loving care. Muppet

The mileage has also gone up from 121,000 to 127012 after his drive home on Thursday night. Quite some drive home he has had!

One of only 80 RHD GTA Turbo's ever sold and only 24 left in the UK! Somebody is telling porkies.

He can ask as much as he likes but the fact that immaculate cars have exchanged hands for as little as £8K or maybe even less recently means that a dog like this is worth less than the sum of its part broken up.

The fact that it is OK for a 21 year old car is not so important - with any used car you shouldn't look at what is good but what is bad together with how useable it's going to be.

The prices remain low as there are too few of us who love them hence the prices are so low.

On the other hand there are cars like the Volvo 1800s which were £4-5K a couple of years ago for a good example - now try and find one for less than 5 figures which isn't full of rust and filler. Simply because there are more buyers than cars.

And it keeps going up...

You would think someone would take a look on the owners club site before wasting their hard earned cash

Good news for everyone else though and no excuse to sell cheaply :)

My message

Postby Tony Smith » Wed Aug 11, 2010 6:38 pm

My message read "You say its in excellent condition can I assume then that you have realigned the front and properly repaired the rear 3/4 section?" He didn't reply. It actually winds me up to see the ballshot in his ad. If I could see the other bidders I'd mail them and tell them to look at it. I honestly wouldn't do a straight swap for the one I paid £1100 for.

Bet its back on in a few days - I'd been telling him exactly where he could put his positive feedback.

"Shill" bidding I think it's referred to isn't it where you get friends and colleagues to pump up the bidding. Keep an eye on his feedback to see what comes of it....
