but your car ain't got that many horses though has it Peter

FYI .......Spending money on making it go faster.....£0 if you must know it was built by Renault Sport like that already,no bolt on Bling i'm afraid    ....except the datalogger oh and a programmable sequential gear display from geartronics

I would say it has in the region of 250 (50 more than yours if I remember! :D and a whole heap more torque) but I will know for sure next week when its RR'd.
I thought you had bought carbon fibre panels to make it less lardy? I suspect your overall costs will be much higher too...although you have undoubtedly got a bargain as those who do the work pay the cost....theres no better value than a 2nd hand competition car.

Rolling road gives bhp results thats all..... we can all talk about it eh till we're blue in the face, get it on the track...till we get a chance on the circuit.... my fingers are getting sore now :!:

no carbon yet, as it will be an xpensive trip, probably the wrong side of £6k if we go the whole hog as the panels will have to be made bespoke which ain't cheap if you want a decent finish..... plus if a crazy Frenchman hits it..... that could cause me alot of grief

The RR session is totally seperate to this discussion......I need it to set up the adjustable fuel regulator Ive bought....but its always nice to know figures. They dont neccesarily convert to speed round a track...after all the Lotus Elise only had 118bhp

Is the adjustable fuel pressure reg for the old injectors Peter or are you going to try the bigger ones again with less pressure behind them?
I'm just here for the gasoline.

i'm with Andy on this.... not surprisingly. :D The race spider would "wee wee" all over a GTA on a track and probably on the road as well. The race cars will do 150mph, more with longer gearing as well. When I drove mine at Croix it was the fastest thing there down the straight without a doubt, quicker than the blue/purple winged ress tuned GTA...
The road car is only a little heavier, maybe 800kg, still 200kg lighter than a lightened GTA and whilst it has 150hp as standard can easily be tweaked to give nearly 200. So in theory you'd need at least 250hp in a GTA to even get close.

I have about 250bhp (I think  )!!! But I'm not professing to beable to outrrun a race prepared spider.

Darren, I will be running my 191 injectors....I cant find anyone who thinks running big injectors and cutting back the fuel pressure is a wise thing to do.....feel free to argue in its favour if you will.....I am willing to listen to any argument.

peter, is you charge cooler all installed, up and running? Perhaps this is what is worrying the Spider boys, "fear of the unknown".
Maybe that's why you are on a RR next week, to check out the CC?
