Renault parts account & discount

Does any one have an account with Renault that can be used by fellow enthusiastcs to pruchase parts over the counter at a nice discount? Obviously it would need to be a "cash on collection" type account or it might be very expensive for the account owner. Perhaps some one knows of a Parts discount scheme arranged by the CAR ?

In my experience once you become a regular face at your local dealer (and believe me you will if you own an Alpine!!) then they will usually start to give you some discount.

Most of the common mechanical components can usually be sourced elsewhere at a substantial saving.

Well I have a couple of bits to buy already. What sort of discount could I expect or should I ask for (without over stepping the mark too much)? Perhaps I'll just ask them if I can set up a trade account, or is there a particular buzz-word they need to hear before they get interested?

I know of Simon-auto in Germany, they are on the web and seem to be reasonably priced. Where are these "other" places that you mention?

Read 'technics' comments in the 'Is your Alpine your only car...' thread in general discusssion for some ideas of prices.

Eurocarparts are good, also French, German & Swedish.

My local Bosch/Valeo shop is also good.

You might get 10% if you place a large order initially. Just ask & see what they say. Nothing ventured nothing gained. The more visits you make, the better generally when they know your face. (Don't hassle too much though or they might not want to serve you at all!!)

i find getting 30% discount is usually an the cards at my local dealers, but like stephen says, your face and name gets well known!
