Brake fluid reservoir connector

Postby darrenbiggs » Sun Jun 23, 2019 9:05 am

Hi all.

Does anyone happen to know where to find a new electrical plug for the brake fluid reservoir? The one that plugs into the cap and tells you when the level is low.

Topped the fluid up yesterday and realised one of the wires wasn't connected and was hanging loose. Unfortunately I can't seem to extract the actual pins to replace them.
I'm just here for the gasoline.

Thanks JohnC for the PM and advise.

Yes I'd guessed there should be a tab, but I just couldn't seem to get the pins released. As you can see below, I think they'd just corroded hence the fight. That was the other reason as well to replace as they're hopelessly corroded in terms of making any decent contact.

Anyway now all removed. I think I can rewire using the same type of pins used on the ECU as pictured.

All rewired. Quick test by attaching the two wires together before fitting them in the plug, and now working.
