Showing my ignorance of 800bhp 18,000rpm engines but... what is the stuff being sprayed when its on full chat? Is it water to prevent detonation or some other magical stuff?

I think it's fuel (chin in air ready for smacking).

800 hp, if in doubt get more fuel in, Andy, I guess it is fuel too. But I've not seen the video yet, firewall issue.....

Would seem a bit unsafe to spray fuel like that so i would guess water :)
It sings well though :P

Fuel.

The airbox is off.

The injectors are positioned to inject directly into the inlets.

Water injection is banned in F1, only air and fuel :)

Wow - I'm even more impressed with the video now that I know what's going on!

It is fuel, could you imagine a motor running with that much water going in? Fuel economy 70L/100Km, you could probably run a Clio on the exhaust fumes.

There may be loads of fuel, but It's sucking it all in :!:

It is very impressive but It still doesn't match the music of the Ligier Matra V12 racing up to druids hairpin at brands... awesome.
