Heyhoe dudes
I've tried to play my mp3 player via a cassette gismo on standard hifi and get a whooooosh when I accelerate :(
my alarm (crook) fitter says its cos the hifi is old.
Some1 else said it was about 'suppression' and the earth to the aerial was shot??
Any suggestions?

It could be a bad earth (very probable on a plastic car!) causing the interference. Try cleaning the earth contacts around the stereo (although it could be any earth strap causing the problem)
