Torque setting for Sump etc

Postby simontaylor » Sat Sep 09, 2017 5:00 pm

I have had the sump, Oil strainer and emulsifier plate off.
Been reading the Engine Assembly manual MRMOTZ (E) and page 75 just says "refit", but I can not find any torque settings.
Anyone know where I will find them please?

That is what I was beginning to think, especially as these items as not the most stressed of components. Thanks for the guidance :angel

Thanks Lee, closer inspection finds them all "1,5 a 2"

Bottom end back on. Filled with fresh oil and water.
Charged the battery, started first time since April, Happy Bunny.
Next to decide how big this water leak is, because there was not much in the sump at all, maybe just a small cup full.
Suspecting head gaskets ..... I am told that Steel Seal is the product to use these days, it is the combustion gases that create a chemical reaction for a "Permanent Head Gasket Repair", guaranteed. Anyone used it ?.
