Dont know if we had this already in the forum, but I heard from Tony S. something about converting a GTA four stud bullocks to five studs by using R21 Turbo hubs, is this right?????? :?

You would need R21 hubs and 21 Turbo discs, but then the caliper needs spacing out, but its such a small difference (12mm spacing) that its not enough to mount the caliper....and before you ask Phil....those wheels are 5 stud BMW and Merc only, not Renault/Volvo! :? :D

Has anyone got an idea of the cheapest way to convert a four stud hub to a five stud (Renault) Pattern hub.
Is it possible with R21 hubs or A610 hubs, or just bolt on adaptor plates?

Why do you want to convert??

Seems like a lot of work if you just want to change the wheels!

fair point... Spider wheels really and possibly a wider range of bigger brakes.

Occasionally see European GTA's with 5 stud hubs. Just wondered what the cheapest option is.

I will almost certainly stick with 4 stud hubs but with 4 pot brembo calipers and 280mm dics.

All the Europa cup cars run straight Renault 25 V6 turbo hubs, discs and calipers all round.

Havent checked specifically, but it should all bolt straight on (not sure about the rear) because on the R25 2.0 we have the same front discs and calipers, which means the hub spacing and caliper lugs are the same on the GTA. The V6 Turbo R25 is the same hub carrier, so it means just a different caliper and disc was used, so in theory will also bolt on to the GTA hub carrier.

and how do you deal with the driveshafts? Fit them back to front?

No difference. The splines on the GTA shaft are the same as the R25. You only changing the hub/bearing that the wheel bolts to, not the carrier.
