THE COLOUR OF YOUR CAR

Postby stephen rodgers » Thu Apr 21, 2005 7:32 pm

Just been thinking about my car colour. It's Titan red and looks stunning in the sun after being waxed

Your views on the colour of mine or anyone else's would be good.

The most popular is Red, I've had 2, but you don't see many black or white ones.

I've even heard of a gold gta, how does it look? Is it a one off or factory special?

Does anyone have a wacky spray job or interior trim?
Where was it done and was it the right colour or the colour from HELL .
THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY
hello all.

Hi

Check out the colour codes in the technical help section for more options.

Red is the most popular colour for GTA's because it was free!!

Black was the only other no cost option and it's a shame and a suprise that there aren't more in this colour because it looks good.

Pearl white is pretty common, but flat or solid white (gardenia) is much rarer.

I've seen one gold car (champagne beige) and it's a bit of an aquired taste.

Once you go black...

Postby Tony Smith » Thu Apr 21, 2005 9:28 pm

you never go back. No-one will ever convince me that blacks not the best colour, like pearl white if its in good knick and Simons silver one looks nice too.

A taste I haven't aquired!

Most look good when clean, but I prefer the blues (and yellow  )

My GTA is Titian Red metallic. I thought it might be quite rare, I've never seen another one the same colour. See it featured in the Roadtest section!

Tony, thanks for your kind comments, I have'nt had too many so was begining to feel that silver was a bit less of a conspicuous colour, which is ok. I was thinking about tinted glass, to give it a bit more of a "mystique" look. In fact, I don't think I've seem another silver GTA, yet! Except one of Stephens yellew ones which was a resprayed silver one.

I sprayed mine 'dark olive metalic'. I have always prefered the GTA's in darker colours and mine was metalic white when i got it, so the spray gun had to come out. While i was there i thought i might as well be a bit different. I am really happy with how it looks now, not in any way original - inside or out - but its now a car just for me. At the end of the day peoples oppinions on colour are always going to vary, otherwise it would be pretty boring lokking down the road! GOD, it takes some cleaning though! :?

Mine is red, but another GTA that is on its' way to our shores is silver. I can't stand the pearl white though, but would happily have the yellow, or the electric blue.

Alan, when the silver car arrives, get rid of the orange repeaters on the front wings and replace them with clear ones, such an improvement.

Mine is the light metallic blue, and I think it's stunning colour. You can check a lot of our cars out in the visitors section and judge for yourself!
