Indicator flasher unit

Postby pgoldsmith » Wed Mar 23, 2011 11:20 pm

Mine appears to be faulty.
The LHS works fine, but the RHS flashes for one, two or maybe three cycles then stops and stays permanently on.
It failed the MOT on this.

So, I have managed to find the unit, in amongst all the wiring under the dash and removed the innards.

The unit has two relays, one for each of the sides. The Hazard switch operates both relays together.

I reconnected the unit to the plug and wiggled the whole assembly. This made the indicators operate OK, But then the RHS worked ok and the LHS started to stay permanently on, a reverse on the original problem.

My guess is a bad connection from the spade connectors to the PCB.
