it seems we have 5 or 6 spiders going this year, what sort of kit should the spider driver be taking on a trip like this back to the mother country :?:

these are all good ideas

.BUT i was hopeing for more relevant help,maybe what paper work or do i fill up in the uk.is refulling the first stop out of the tunel.that sort of thing.is breakdown cover worth having or is it only a GTA thing.

Miles, get breakdown cover, hopefully if you have it..... you wont need it.
Take a few basic tools, etc, spares too, fan belt stuff.
GTA drivers will have loads of tools etc, I carry cable ties, coat hanger, allsorts of electrical bits, rope, water, etc etc, some one else will have a trolly jack.
Any-one taking a towing bar, just in case of a box or terminal failure.
I fill up in the UK, it is cheaper these days.
Last "cheap stop" in the UK is Shell Ashford, 35 North Street,Ashford, TN24 8LQ.
Take your V5, Insurance and your licence, or a photocopy of it, passport, credit cards, Cash, a hundred euros is probably enough for lunch stops, ice creams and sundries etc,

and your taste buds.
Oh Sat nav is good too. If you get lost on Rally stages, you can then easily get to the end point town, or hack to Hotels etc,

You have one great advantage, your speedo easily switches to KM's. get the knack of re setting the trip meter quickly as the road book gives distances in km's and it makes it easy to find the correct turnings.
