Yes a tragedy really. Car was low mileage and has no damage. Seems the car is the only GTA (I hope) to suffer the fate of scrappage. The parts are being offered for sale by Richard Weale near Tonbridge. I helped out with some of the pricing.

And no it couldn't be saved the ID is already scrapped and the shell has to go back to be crushed and yes it has to be the same shell. I did my best

I may go and take a look as it's not too far.

Car is already being dismantled though. Richard has promised to save all the important fixtures and fittings.

Just to let you and your members know we are currently breaking a good condition 1988 GTA V6 (non turbo) and there are many parts available from the car. We are a small family business in Kent that buys accident damaged classic cars and splits them up for there parts. The car we have is showing 57,000 miles and runs and drives fine with a good engine and box. Scrappage scheme GTA He would have got £2k for it surely private then would have been able to get more off his new car using cash and no p/ex.....Another one bites the dust......
