Turbo 2's worth in France?

guys, as a non- regular contributor to this site, i thought i'd be cheeky and raid your collective alpine knowledge as the RTOC isn't 'in the know' in such matters.
I have to sell my turbo 2 (house buying purposes) and the word on the street is that prices in the homeland have risen somewhat in the last year.
Is this true, or is it aload of cow dung?

£20K is ceiling for a mint car in the UK. Add £5K or so for a T1

All generally worth a little more in France.

funnily enough, i did have a look at that link via renault classic car club.
most informative. according to your guide, mine is clean enough to be in the £15k catagory.

Reallly nice cars can make up to another £5K in France if you can find a buyer, but sometimes they don't want the paperwork hassle and there are normally options closer to home.

Also the exchange rate is not quite so good for them anymore.

Stephen, it looks exactly the same as the last few times you have seen it. - WSR and last years FCS.... also in Featured in Performance French Car. - The red one with the black bumpers. i'll see what i can do though.

I know of two Turbo 2's sold in France by UK owners in the last three months:

1st was in fair condition, pearl white so paintwork was poor, and it had rust at the top of both back wings, and was sold for Eu 22,000

2nd was in better condition, but not brilliant, but it did have a 210 engine, sold for Eu28,000

Others sold in France and Germany recently, not 'special' cars, but in good condition have sold for up to 40k (Euro), where the average seems to be in the low 30's

Lesson--- Sell your car over there!

Try these guys www.autobodyshop.fr I know they were in the market for 5t's, and as you can see from their web site your car might go onto 'greater things' !

They bought the pearl white one I mentioned earlier, they wanted it on the french plates, however this is not too difficult if the car came from France originaly, if you needed some help with this I know a 'Man that Might' do the job for you, he has also dealt with autobodyshop before.


If you want a 'quick sale' have you thought about talking to JP? Also might be worth mentioning to Kevin Jones (GTO engineering), and also Fred G (Fred may know somone who is looking for one in France)
