Alpine GTA/A610 Shared Parts Bin Thread

Postby BIG_MVS » Mon Sep 15, 2008 11:03 pm

Right we having been talking about this for ages. Time to put a list up of parts used on the Alpine which are shared throughout the renault or other car manufacturers range. This should be useful when getting new or used parts. Here is one to start the ball rolling, name the GTA part and which Renault model it's from

Too easy! And a bonus from wrightbr :D I think the heater control is slightly different but it looks pretty much identical.

Any more parts shared, I can think of the R25 Front Suspension, Volvo Dizzy cap and rotor.

Mark 1 Clio. plip fob and reciever, are a direct replacement, but must be used as a pair. However if you can get hold of a fob, they are easy to recode to your original. I have 2 fobs for my Alp

The question is where to start, most parts seem to come from somewhere else (even if sadly in the case of the A610, many are the Spider, that common creature...)
As there must be thousands of parts, and hundreds that are shared, this could be a long thread...
Spreadsheet anyone?
My finds so far
A610 front brake calipers and pads are Laguna (but with special material apparently, justifies the 10 times the price)
Rear calipers are fronts from a Peugeot 605, or XM if you change the seals.
XM Pads nearly fit, but really you need spider ones or to change them at half wear.
Wheel bearings are Espace parts of similar age (A610 not GTA here)
A610 Intake air sensor is Laguna (not the one in the parts book)
I do have a French language spreadsheet from one of the other alpine clubs somewhere.....
Sounds like we need a monk with time on his hands as this could be a lifetimes work.

Window switches are common to a lot of Renaults and even found their way into the DeLorean, and have been remanufactured by delorean.com (you'll need to swap the cap over).

Door release actuators were made/sold by Dakota Digital in the US but are no longer made, so get'em while they're 'ot. Their replacements aren't as strong.
