Atmo..........................

Postby si21 » Tue Aug 05, 2008 2:57 pm

She lives, after many banging and swearing sessions and lot of anger management and guidence from Mr Dell she fired on all six, once we had removed and unseized the carburettor choke mechanism and she sounds sweet. This has now given me some enthusiasm to get the bumpers and the window and the locks and the brakes finished ............with the possible threat of getting her road legal

Steve where did you hide my hammer mate I promise I wont modify it now

8) she runs ........have you seen a non football fan celebrate by running around an underground car park with both hands in the air waving and zigg zagging for about 5 minutes    NUTTER a Happy one :P

Congrats Si!
Good to know there's another one soon to be on the road. Makes a pleasant change from seeing more and more being broken up for parts.
Good luck with the rest of it! :D

Dont laugh Martin once I have got these two back on the road, I probably going to take the 21 off the road as she needs some attention now, I cant really fault her, after the initial problems and many hours spent but now she needs some attention with regard to the bodywork, I would like to tidy her up, I have brand new bumper head lights repainted doors bonnet etc it would not take much, She has though in all honesty, been a star of a car for the last two years she has started and run on the button no matter what I've thrown at her ....and that includes armco

I am seriously thinking about Wales mate the grey matter is ticking

Rear Brakes

Postby si21 » Wed Sep 03, 2008 4:03 pm

I now have two calipers and pads fitted and a operable handbrake!! :P I now need to bleed the brakes in order to get a brake pedal.

She is gradually getting there. Just need to rewire the new aftermarket fan and I can start putting cosmetic bits back on her 8)

I cant wait to get her dome now as I have insurance arranged for all three cars F/Comp for about £80 more than I was paying to insure the 306 Derv machine  3rd party F/T

si21 V6 Burble .......music to my ears ......cant wait

I am sure I can do the starting up vid, its a shame Steve did not have a video on the day it actually fired up LOL I  I ran around the underground car park for about five minutes in relief and celebration.

Cant wait to get her started, need to bleed the brakes to get a peddle. Insurance should be sorted by the end of this month so if I can get her roadworthy by then ....I'm going to try

Not much progress

Postby si21 » Tue Sep 09, 2008 2:31 pm

I still do not have a brake peddle yet the last bleed nipple snapped off on the drivers side front caliper :? The thermostat switch in the rad is the wrong type so now I need one of those; seemed little point filling her with fluids..........it must have been one of those days as Lewis found out you think your winning and something at the last minute screws you up!!

STOP & GO

Postby si21 » Tue Sep 16, 2008 1:38 pm

And Its not a penalty, no she will actually go and stop under her own steam now :P. There is still plenty of things to do though, I dont have a oil pressure reading, I think its just a crap conection to the sensor from what I could see, the handbrake cable clip needs re-riveting to the body work, the throttle linkage needs some adjustment. I am actually starting to see the light.......at the end of the tunnel.

I think I can if I can get the car road worthy by the end of this month I would be over the moon .......A proper Birthday pressie to myself :P

si21 I am just praying that everything for once just once goes to plan in my favour
